2000 Federal Income Tax Estimator
   Tax filing status:
Choose whether you are single, head of your household, married and filing your and your spouse's taxes together, or filing your taxes separately from your spouse.
   Current combined gross income:
Enter all income, whether earned, unearned, from interest, dividends, or any other source (i.e. 40000).
   Adjustments to Gross Income:
Enter the total amount contributed to qualified plans (IRA, 401k, etc.), deductions related to self-employment, moving expenses, alimony, etc. (i.e. 5000)
   Itemized/standard deduction:
Enter the total of your itemized deduction (mortgage interest, charitable contributions, etc.). If this is less than the standard deduction for 1999, when you calculate your tax liability, your deduction will be changed to the standard. (i.e. 2000)
   Number of personal exemptions claimed:
Enter the number of dependents/personal exemptions you will claim in 2000. Usually this includes you, your spouse, and your children.
   Tax Credits:
Enter the amount of credit you are eligible for. Take into account childcare credit, elderly credit, education credit, etc. (i.e. 1000)
