It's a fact that most dental diseases are preventable.  Dentists stress regular brushing, flossing and the importance of periodic check-ups.  CompDent makes that preventive care affordable.  CompDent will help you take better care of your teeth, and you'll pay less to do it.  And you'll help prevent gum disease which could save your teeth.

Dental Savings
When you see your participating dentist, you'll receive no charge services on:

  • x-rays
  • routine cleanings
  • topical fluoride
  • oral exams
  • local anesthesia

All other dental procedures are covered at substantial savings to you.  The Schedule of Benefits shows you the exact amount you pay.  It's easy to compare and compute your savings.

No claim forms for you to file.
CompDent has taken the confusion out of dental care.  We prepay the dentist directly.  You don't have to file a claim and then wait to receive your money.   Most routine and preventive care is covered in full.  And you'll know ahead of time exactly how much you'll have to pay for other procedures by checking your Schedule of Benefits for the pre-negotiated fees.

No deductible.
With CompDent, you won't be surprised by a hidden deductible.  There isn't one.   Your dental needs are covered right from the start.  And most preexisting conditions you may have are covered immediately.

Large, established dental network.
You choose your family general dentist from the dental directory list.  Participating dentists are located near your home or office.  Each dentist is licensed and is a skilled and experienced professional.  CompDent carefully reviews the credentials of each dentist in the network before they are selected.

Qualified participating CompDent dentists.
All participating dentists have been licensed by the appropriate government agencies.   They are qualified, skilled, experienced professionals.  And, as part of our requirement for participation in the CompDent program, they undergo periodic reviews by CompDent's trained staff of dentists and provider service representatives.

Friendly, efficient member service.
CompDent Member Service Representatives are trained to help you with your questions.   They are familiar with your benefits and your dentist; they'll answer your questions clearly and completely.

No surprises.
With CompDent, you have an easy way to determine how much, if anything, dental services will cost you before they're performed.  You just review your Schedule of Benefits with your dentist.  You'll always know what to expect.  And often, you can expect - No Charge.

Frequently Asked Questions:

What if I need a specialist?
When treatment by a specialist is required and you visit a CompDent participating specialist, you will receive benefits as shown on your schedule of benefits.  We make every effort to insure a complete range of specialty care in each geographic area.  However, it is not always possible to secure some specialty types in some areas.  Please check with our Member Services Department to verify that a particular specialty is available.

How many times a year can I visit my dentist?
You are encouraged to visit your dentist regularly.  With you CompDent dental plan, you are not limited to a specific number of visits per year.

Can I change participating dentists?
Yes.  You can easily change dental offices by contacting CompDent.  A simple phone call is all it takes.

How do I make appointments?
Making an appointment is easy.  Simply call the dental office you have selected, on or after the date you receive your certificate of coverage, and your appointment will be scheduled.  Your enrollment with that dental office will already be on hand, confirming that you are eligible for treatment.

Is there a maximum coverage limitation?
There are no maximum limitations on benefits.

How do I pay for services?
If your visit is covered preventive care, like a routine exam, cleaning or x-ray, there is no charge for the procedure; the dentist is prepaid by the CompDent program.  For other procedures, a small copayment may be required.  See your Schedule of Benefits for amounts.  You pay this directly to the dentist.
