After selling off four non-insurance related companies and five life insurance companies to Protective Life Corp., JPMorgan Chase has promised that they will still continue to sell life insurance and annuities, they will utilize third-party companies. Protective Life previously acted as JPMorgan Chase's reinsurer for 42% of their variable annuity business. Shares of both Protective and JPMorgan rose this week.
