News 464 Trends Reflect Baby Boomer Needs Employer Sponsored Insurance United Press International

According to a poll conducted by Aon Consulting, the top two benefits employees voluntarily choose to add to their employer-sponsored insurance plans are life insurance and disability coverage. The two most requested benefits that are not currently offered by most employers are long-term care insurance and Medicare supplement insurance. This trend acknowledges that baby boomers are playing a major role in the pre-retirement work force and their needs reflect the growing popularity of long-term and Medigap products.
