Former Washington State Patrol Chief George Tellevik dead at 74  The Washington State Patrol says former Chief George Tellevik died over the weekend of cancer at the age of 74.

Ex-State Patrol chief George Tellevik, 74  Retired Washington State Patrol Chief George Tellevik, who rose through the ranks to head the agency from 1985 to 1993, died Saturday Sept. 20 at his Olympia home after a yearlong battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 74.
