Town topics - Sept. 25  ELLWOOD CITY Flu shot clinic The Ellwood Area Family Center, 311 College St., will have a flu shot clinic from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 7. There will be no out-of-pocket charge for those with Security Blue, Freedom Blue, Medicare Part B or Aetna insurance plans.

Chaplain from Beaumont dies  WASHINGTON - A military chaplain from Beaumont has died while supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. Military officials today announced 69-year-old Colonel Sidney J. Marceaux Junior died September 14th at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, from a non-combat related illness.

Following evacuation from Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, he was assigned to the Warrior Transition Brigade, Walter Reed Army ...  The Defense Department announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. Chaplain Col. Sidney J. Marceaux Jr., 69, of Beaumont, died Sept. 14 at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, D.C., from a non-combat related illness.

H.O.P.E. plans several fundraising events  H.O.P.E., the nonprofit cancer support group based in New Freedom, has a very busy fall planned.
